The rooms were well-appointed and beautifully maintained, complete with an amazing view, TV, for instance, and with smoke detectors for safety measures too.
There were uncomfortable beds.

It is VERY close to the down town area and the train station. Breakfast was available early so making the train was no problem. The room was wonderful.

I like the richness of this historic building, its furnishings & decor. The staff were very professional yet friendly & helpful. The addition of oatmeal packets to the breakfast offerings would be great for those of us who are gluten intolerant....I did appreciate that a toaster & microwave oven were provided.

I recently stayed here for one night and really loved the spacious and comfy room with its vintage charm. They had live music in the evenings and a cozy lounge to chill in after a long day. A minor bummer was that the light in the bathroom flickered a bit, but it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment 😊.

Staying at this charming spot was a delight! We loved being close to downtown, where we could easily catch a wildlife cruise to see sea otters playing and whales breaching in the beautiful Alaskan waters. Important for our family.
My children wished there were more kid-friendly activities at the hotel.

The location is unbeatable with nearby access to local attractions and the train station. The staff was accommodating, particularly when we had to check out early and they had a luggage cart ready for us at the door. The room was spacious and had a charming, classic decor. Breakfast was decent, but it could use a bit more variety to cater to different tastes.
